Mako Sharks Swim Club won the tournament they organized called Mako Sharks Sprint Gala

On this Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the Green Hills School Swimming Pool, an annual tournament was held which had the title of 'Mako Sharks Sprint Gala 2022'. The tournament was being played for the first time.
This competition was organized by the 'Mako Sharks swim club' team that currently operates in the city of Kigali at this pool of Green Hills Academy, which was attended by 144 players, including 86 women and 68 men, both representing seven (7) teams: Mako Sharks Swimming Club, Les Dauphins Swimming Club, Rwesero Swimming Club, Cercle Sportif de Kigali Swimming Club, Mount Kenya Swimming Club, Cercle Sportif de Karongi Swimming Club and Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle Swimming Club.
According to the agenda of the day, the competition started at 9:00 in the morning and ended at 16:00 in the evening.
In these two categories (women and men), the participants of this competition are all individual athletes, there is an increase in the swimming of team members, known as Relay.
In Relay (swimming as a team), each team used two (2) male and two (2) female athletes.
The individal events were in four (4) strokes which are; FreeStyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke butterfly and Relay were played in the team category.
The competition was having the following event list:
50m Freestyle both Male and Female 100m Freestyle both Male and Female
50m breaststroke both Male and Female 100m breaststroke both Male and Female
50m Butterfly both Male and Female 100m Butterfly both Male and Female
50m back stroke both Male and Female and Mixed Relays of freestyle
At the official end of this new competition set up by the Mako Sharks team, where they announced that they would like it to be held every year, the winners were given medals and trophies to the 3 teams who won after collecting points based on the categories they competed in and the number of players each Team had.
In the men's category, the winner was Maniraguha Eloi of Mako Sharks, while in the women's category, the winner was Omoro Saniyah who also plays for Mako Sharks Swim Club.
In the team category, the fourth place was won by the Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle team, with 713 points
The second place was won by the Cercle Sportif de Karongi team, with 879 points, while the first place was awarded as The winner of the competition was 'Mako Sharks Sprint Gala 2022' which was won by the Mako Sharks team, who scored 3,232 points.
It should be recalled that this competition was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports, the Rwanda Olympic Committee, the Rwanda Swimming Federation, Nubas Limited (Ltd), Hope Line Sport and various others.
Apart from the leaders of the competing teams, it was attended by the Minister of Sports, Madam Munyangaju Aurore Mimosa, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sports, Shema Maboko Didier, the Secretary of the Rwanda Olympic Committee, Kajangwe Joseph, the two Vice Presidents of the Association of the Rwandan Swimming Games, Uzabakriho Innocent and Jean Sauveur and other leaders...
