Mako Sharks Swim Club Hosted Prestigious International Swimming Competition

Event Overview

The Mako Sharks Swim Club proudly organized an international swimming competition Held at Green hills academy pool on June 1-2, 2024 called Mako Sharks Summer Invitational Swimming Championship 2024. This highly anticipated event brought together swimmers from around the region, showcasing talent, dedication, and the spirit of sportsmanship. Hosting seven clubs 3 in Rwanda and 4 in Uganda and featuring 170 Swimmers, the competition included an impressive 103 events, making it a landmark event in the swimming calendar of Rwanda.

Here are the clubs participated in this championship:

1.    Aquatics Academy Kampala from Uganda

2.    Mako sharks swim club Kigali from Rwanda

3.    Silverfin Academy from Uganda

4.    Cercle Sportif de Karongi from Rwanda

5.    Hertz Swim club from Uganda

6.    Kigali Sporting Club from Rwanda

7.    Whales Swim Academy Entebbe from Uganda

8.    Individuals (17 swimmers)

Our competition was a melting pot of cultures and talents, with participants from our regional countries with different nationalities converging to compete. This international dimension added a unique flavor to the event, fostering camaraderie and mutual respect among swimmers and coaches worldwide.
